Ohio's Fun Place to Race!! 2024 Race Season |

Sunny skies were over the 3/10th mile oval this past weekend. It brought an amazing crowed!!
Every feature and heat was pretty exciting.
First feature was the Make-Up Street Stock from May 7th. Front row was Barker and Miller. Barker would put into the early race lead. Miller stayed right there, until he got a little loose. Caution came out on lap 2, for the #2 of McCreery spinning on her own in turn three and four. Green waved back out and was Barker and Miller. Barker pulled into a good 4/5 car race lead. Grove,Pringle, and Orr were all coming through the field. On lap 12, Grove would start to challenge Barker for the Race lead. Lap 13, Grove was the new leader and set sail by only 4/5 car lengths. Off turn four to the checkred flag, in the JD Bryrider, CNAC Finacing, #3 of Kyle Grove. Following was Barker, Pringle, Orr and Miller.
Make-Up for the Mini Truck feature from May 7th was next. Front row was Jaberg and Linard. Linard on the outside cleared and just dominated the truck feature. Jaberg in #22 stayed right there as much as possible. Locker, was in the third spot and just tried to catch up on his race truck. In victory lane it was the Dover,OH driver Joe Linard. Following was Jaberg and Locker. Both were DQ because they didn’t go to tech after the feature.
First feature up on night #4 was the Summit Racing Economy Modifieds. Front row, was #2 of McCreery and #30 of Walker. Green waved but a quick yellow for #33 of Shimko off pace. Green come back out. Walker would go into the race lead. McCreery would start to fall back as car seemed to be a little loose. As McClintock would take second spot and start to challenge. Caution waved on lap 12 as Official was giving past over flag hit the switch. Green would wave with walker and McClintock but caution for a failed start as Walker was jumping the gun. Green would wave, and we were under way. McClintock would continue to look high and low but Bailey started to challenge also. Good race throughout the field with Bailey,Allensworth, McMillion, Ripley, McCreery,, Swaney and Green. Caution would wave on lap 22 as #27 of Swaney would spin own n off turn 2. Green would come back out with Walker and McClintock but quick caution would rise on lap 23 as #2 of McCreery would spin on own in turns 1 and 2. Walker and McClintock would give it another try. McClintock would close door to stay in second as Bailey, Ripley, Allensworth and Green were all under a blacket. Lap 26, caution would wave for #4 of Mills stopping on his own into turn 1. Walker and McClintock having a great race up front. Bailey would stay right behind McClintock and So was Green behind Bailey. Lap 31 Green would make contact with Bailey sending Bailey spinning in turn 3. Green waved and Walker keeps coming up and closing door on McClintock. McClintock had to keep breaking out of it. Bailey, Ripley, Allensworth, Swaney, all battle up front. 1st to Last is was all singled out. Lap 45 caution would wave for #36 of Green spinning on own of turn 2. Green come back out with Walker and McClintock. Stayed battle up front. Slow car off turn 4 was #22 of McCune with a flat tire caution waves but during that, #2 of McCrerry and #98 of Wilson got together on front straight. #21 of Allensworth would get a fire on the exhaust, but had go to back cause no matter what, if get out of car it’s to the back. #37 of Bailey stopped on back straight after having some problems. Green waved and McClintock tried everything. Ripley and Bailey battle. Off turn four to the Checkred flag was the #30 of Akron driver Preston Walker. Following was McClintock, Ripley, Bailey, and Swaney. Top qualifier was Allensworths. Heat went to Walker and Swaney.
1st Compact feature was a great race. Front row was McDonold and Hartline. Green waved and Hartline just wouldn’t look back. Oliver and Salesberry were making three wide moves as much as possible. Salesberry got up to second and started put pressure on Hartline. Lap 8, Salesberry was in the race lead. Oliver, McDonald, Shreffler,France all battled well. Picking up his first win of 2016, the #4 of Blaine Salesberry. Following was Gartline, Shreffler, France, and Oliver.
2nd Compact feature was the end of the night before Trailer Race. Start and it came down to final lap to figure who would win. #2 of Shalosky and Herron put on a great battle. Both battled for race lead, for about 4 laps. Riddle was putting pressure on Herron making it a race for him if wanted second. Picking up second Feature was the #2 of Kyle Shalosky. Following was Riddle, Herron, Bigham, and Butts. Top Qualifier was gage Jaberg. Heats went to Salesberry, Shalosky, and Herron.
McIntosh Oil Company Late Models put on a show. Front row was #69 of Ujcich and #17 of Schneider. Schneider got a great start and Ujcich back up the inside with Ripey and Smith. Schneider was bring Bryant Smith, and Stankiewicz. Schneider would start to pull away from smith. Smith started to get pressure from Stankiewicz. Stankiewicz looked to get a little loose off turn 2 but off 4, he goes into the infield after breaking something in the rear end. Bubba Smith and Riley would battle for the third spot. Smith high and Ripley low. Went side by side for 10 laps. Lap 20, seen the first caution and only caution in Late Model as Bryant smith got a good run off four and rear ends Schneider would be able to continue as Smith confesses to the yellow. Green waved as it was Bubba Smith and Schneider. Schneider pulls into race lead but not by much. Smith and Schneider would go back and forth. White waved and was a died heat at the line. Off turn four it was a died heat to the line. Picking up the win by .010 was the #17 in the Landstar Recruiting Agent Jeff Secrest, Yoder Plumbing of Bob Schneider Jr. Following was Bubba Smith, Ripley, Bryant Smith, and Willison. Top Qualifier was Tom Stankiewicz. Heat went to Todd Ripley.
J.D. Byrider feature was next, and we have some good competition in this class so far this year! Front row was Ritchey and Smith. Smith would go into the race lead. Smith would hold the bottom as Ritchey would try to stay right there but Barker, Moss, Grove, Orr, an Pringle would all go around. Grove and Pringle would start to come through the field and Passwater was following behind them. Grove would get up into the race lead on lap 9 as Pringle, Passwater, Orr were all trying to stay right there. Orr and Smith would continue to battle for the 3/4th spot. Orr went in high and had Smith cleared but Smith would make contact with Orr, sending Orr spinning. Grove and Pringle would set up the restart. Grove go into race lead but Pringle would stay right there. Off turn two, Pringle has a problem as he shatters a rotor and comes to a stop up off turn 2. Grove and Orr and after the start, Grove would check out and off turn 4, the the checkered your winner will be the #3 of Kyle Grove. Following was Orr, Passwater Sr,Moss, and Barker. Heat wins went to Pringle and Smith. Top Qualifier was Gabe Pringle.
Front row was Jaberg and Linard. Linard on the outside cleared and just dominated the truck feature but #84 of Schweitzer was fast also and came to race and put a battle with Linard. . Jaberg in #22 stayed right there behind Schweitzer and Linard to try and figure there lane out. . Locker, was in the four spot and just tried to catch up on his race truck. In victory lane it was the Dover,OH driver Joe Linard. Following was Schweitzer, Jaberg, and Locker. Top Qualifier was Rich Schweitzer. Heat went to Linard.
