Officials Announce Tentative ScheduleThe 2014 NASCAR season is set to begin this month, which means that the racing season at Midvale OH Speedway is just around the corner. Officials have posted the preliminary schedule online for the 2014 season and it includes a couple of new additions to make this year one of the best in history.

This season, weekly racing will again take place on Saturday nights, starting on April 19, with the green flag set to drop at 6:30 each night. There are a couple of non-Saturday shows also on the slate. Regular divisions include the Outlaw Late Models, Economy Modifieds, Street Stocks which were formerly known as Pure Stocks, Mini-Trucks, and Compacts.

Newly added for 2014 will be a special event on Saturday, July 26. On that night, the International Outlaw Figure 8 Series will make their first ever appearance at Midvale Speedway. The event is set for 50 laps for the Late Model style Figure 8 cars. It is surely to be an instant hit with fans.

The Main Event Racing Series will return to the schedule twice this season, instead of just one event as they have run the last few years. The first Super Late Model event will be on Thursday, July 3 for a 100 lapper. Fireworks and three other divisions will also be in action. The series will then return again for a Sunday, August 31 show for 75 laps that will also feature an Open Modified 40 lap grind. Two other divisions will be on that card.

The winged MSA Supermodifieds are scheduled for Saturday, August 16. Late Models, Street Stocks, Mini-Trucks, and Compacts are also set to run. The Super Cup Stock Car Series will make another return on August 9.

The wild and crazy trailer race is scheduled for Fall Classic weekend to finish off the season, while two skid plate events, spectator drags, long distance races for the weekly classes, and many family oriented events are also slated.

Kicking off the unofficial start to the year will be the annual New Towne Mall racecar show in New Philadelphia, from April 4-6. Spots are open to any Midvale Speedway competitor that has a nicely done racecar for the upcoming season, in addition to any travelling series competitor that will make a visit.
